My favourite kind of music is...

I'll give you some hints:

Here is another challenge for my students. Can you guess ....

what  kind of music is this?

It comes from the south of Spain. (click on the word to see a map!)
It is sung by a group of people together.
The main instrument is the guitar.
You can clap your hands to add music.
There is also dancing, and the women wear colourful dresses.

Here is a sample of the music...

Feeling Thankful

This is a very special place in NSW. I was there last weekend with some friends and it made me feel how very fortunate I am.

The fresh clean ocean air
the sparkling sea
the pale colours of the morning
 one beautiful long moment

How often do we stop to say thank you?

What is peace?

This art work by a lovely student in our school. The task was to create a representation of peace.

It may seem simple, but it has a deep meaning.

What do you think?

Multicultural Festival Fun

I like this photo of students helping out for the festival; they seem happy enjoying a bit of hard work and learning about other cultures.

Have you ever tried Spanish "empanadas"?
